Você começa a voar e o avião começa a tremer.

Agora, o time enfrenta o Cruzeiro no próximo domingo no Morumbi. Confira abaixo outros trechos da entrevista do meia:

Momento

Desempenho pessoal

Rangers: Keith Jackson rips into Morelos

Alfredo Morelos was ‘malfunctioning quite spectacularly’ in front of goal as Rangers were held to a draw by Hearts on Saturday, in the words of Daily Record columnist Keith Jackson.

The lowdown

The Gers took the lead in the 40th minute courtesy of John Lundstram but were denied victory at Ibrox by Craig Halkett’s 90th-minute strike.

They missed the chance to go three points of the Edinburgh outfit at the top of the table, while Dundee United and Celtic closed in after winning their matches.

Rangers dominated the game with 27 shots to their opponents’ five, but couldn’t make it count. Morelos had seven shots during the game, three more than any of his team-mates, but got none of them on target.

He was guilty of missing what Jackson’s colleague Mark Pirie called a ‘tap-in’ a matter of minutes before Hearts grabbed their equaliser.

The latest

Writing in his Daily Record column, Jackson disparagingly claimed that Morelos cost Steven Gerrard’s side ‘breathing space’ at the top of the Premiership table by swapping his ‘shooting boots’ for a pair of ‘clown shoes’ on Saturday.

However, he does acknowledge that Morelos’ finishing struggles alone don’t ‘paper over the raft of conundrums with which Gerrard continues to grapple’ at Ibrox.

The verdict

Rangers may still be leading the way, but their record of 15 goals in nine matches doesn’t look particularly great. Celtic have netted 21, for instance, while fifth-placed Hibs have only bagged one fewer (Sky Sports).

Morelos, who has scored five goals in 15 appearances so far this season, is one of the players from whom Gerrard will need more as he looks to keep the Gers on top throughout the campaign. Jackson’s ‘clown shoes’ comment may have been melodramatic, but his point about the Colombian being well below his best is not without justification given his goalscoring hauls in previous years.

In other news, some Gers fans slammed this player over the weekend.

West Indies hope to catch England cold

Almost unnoticed, West Indies have slipped into England ahead of their Test and one-day tour

Almost unnoticed, West Indies have slipped into England ahead of their Test and one-day tour. The eyes of the cricket world are currently trained on South Africa, so it is little surprise that the first tourists of the summer have barely turned heads as they prepare to face Leicestershire on Monday. However, England have found out to their cost already this year that they are no longer a side to be underestimated. For the first time since they visited in 2000, West Indies will begin the series as holders of the Wisden Trophy following their 1-0 series win in the Caribbean. Their coach, John Dyson, hopes that England’s minds will wander towards the Ashes challenge later in the season but believes they will learn from the mistakes they made on tour.”I think we caught England on the hop in the West Indies. I think they came out thinking they were just going to have a net and just get ready for the Ashes,” he said. “Hopefully they are still in that frame of mind and we might just catch them on the hop again. Who knows?”They got caught being a little bit too complacent in the West Indies. I don’t think they will be that complacent again. I think they will be out for revenge. It is our challenge to make sure that they don’t get it in the return series over here.”This tour wasn’t meant to be taking place with West Indies filling in for Zimbabwe, who don’t have Test status, and Sri Lanka, who were the first replacements but pulled out after their key players demanded the opportunity to take up their IPL contracts. A similar situation nearly derailed West Indies with their IPL-bound players unhappy that this tour was scheduled after they had agreed their lucrative franchise contracts.West Indies landed in London on Thursday without their captain, Chris Gayle, and leading fast bowler Fidel Edwards who, like a number of England players, will be in South Africa for the next two weeks before joining the tour shortly before the first Test, at Lord’s, on May 6. Shortly after Dyson spoke at Grace Road, Edwards was bowling to Gayle as the Kolkata Knight Riders took on the Deccan Chargers in Cape Town. Also missing is, Dwayne Bravo who wasn’t deemed fit enough to withstand the rigours of two Tests following his ankle surgery that kept him out of the game for eight months. Instead, he is having an extended stay in the IPL before arriving for the one-dayers at the end of May.Two other key players, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Jerome Taylor, have been given extra time at home to recover from injuries they collected during the previous series and will link up with the party in time for the second warm-up match against Essex. The absences will give a few of the new faces in the 17-man squad a chance against Leicestershire and as with England’s team there are a couple of spots up for grabs.Ryan Hinds has been dumped after failing to take his chance and Daren Powell’s extended run of poor form has finally cost him his place. Nelon Pascal and Andrew Richardson, two untried quicks, are in the squad as is Dale Richards, the opening batsman, who missed out on a Test debut in Jamaica when he injured his foot on the eve of the game.

Nielsen surprised at Vaughan exclusion

Tim Nielsen, Australia’s coach, has expressed surprise at the exclusion of former England captain Michael Vaughan from the squad to play the first Test against West Indies from May 6

Cricinfo staff01-May-2009Tim Nielsen, Australia’s coach, has expressed surprise at the omission of former England captain Michael Vaughan from the squad to play the first Test against West Indies from May 6.”I was a little surprised to see they didn’t pick either Vaughan or [Ian] Bell to give them a chance to stake their claim for the Ashes series,” Nielsen said. “When you play in the big series it is hard to go beyond the experienced and quality players that have had impact in the past.”Vaughan, Bell and fast bowler Steve Harmison were among the big names missing from the squad announced earlier in the week, the first to be named since Andy Flower was installed as England’s permanent head coach. Other surprise decisions were the inclusion of uncapped medium-pacers Graham Onions and Tim Bresnan.Vaughan has not been in the best of form since resigning from captaincy last summer, but Nielsen said he expected him back in the England side for the Ashes. “I’d be surprised if Vaughan was not facing us in the summer,” Nielsen said. “He’s shown in numerous Ashes series how good a player he can be. He’s got plenty of experience and he’s a world class player.”

— finalizou Andressa

Celtic: Doubts exist over Liam Scales

Celtic aren’t entirely convinced that defender Liam Scales is at first team level, The Athletic’s Kieran Devlin has reported.

The lowdown

Scales joined Celtic from Irish champions Shamrock Rovers in August for a fee of £540,000. He has only made one senior appearance for the Hoops so far, playing the final 29 minutes of the League Cup win over Championship side Raith Rovers in September.

The 23-year-old recently earned a call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad for their World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan and friendly against Qatar, but didn’t feature in either game.

Ange Postecoglou has also had Carl Starfelt, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Stephen Welsh at his disposal at centre-back.

The latest

A supporter called for Scales and Osaze Urhoghide to be given more game-time in The Athletic’s matchday discussion on Tuesday.

However, Devlin replied that the former Sheffield Wednesday man is ‘quite far away from the level’ of the first team, and ‘there are doubts over Scales too’.

With the Irish defender, the journalist insisted that ‘it’s not about match fitness’, more about ability.

The verdict

It doesn’t look great for Scales. It would be one thing if he were still a teenager making the step-up to the men’s game, but he is 23 years old now and should really be viewed as a serious first team option at Parkhead.

What’s more, his starting prospects are likely to take another hit, with the recovering Christopher Jullien thought to be less than a couple of weeks away from returning to the fold. Scales’ Celtic career could be facing oblivion only a few short weeks after it begun.

In other news, when will these big players return for Celtic?

No room for error in short series

This is now a two-match series after the abandonment at Headingley which gives both sides even less room for mistakes. Both teams are looking towards these matches as a chance to build some form and momentum before the ICC World Twenty20

Big PictureThis is now a two-match series after the abandonment at Headingley which gives both sides even less room for mistakes. Each team is looking towards these matches as a chance to build some form and momentum before the ICC World Twenty20. West Indies are in desperate need of something to boost their spirits after a miserable few weeks. The washout on Thursday left officials at Headingley embarrassed and facing a barrage of questions about how wise it was to play the match after the outfield work was delayed over the winter. Bristol, the venue for this game, is another of the six grounds to have used the ECB grant for a new drainage system and have admitted they weren’t able to complete the work in time for this season.”We have still not completed the system,” said chief executive Tom Richardson. “Contractors will return at the end of the season to put in sand slits, which will make it more efficient. When everything is bedded in we anticipate that when rain stops the ground will be fit for play within an hour, but we are only halfway towards that situation.” The good news, though, is that no rain is forecast for Sunday.Form guideEngland AWWLL
West Indies ALLWWWatch out for…James Anderson has been outstanding form early on this season and claimed nine wickets in the second Test victory at Chester-le-Street. He has been a threat with the white ball for a long time now and with Andrew Flintoff out of the side is England’s most experienced quick. He is at the peak of his powers and will be aiming to continue his form over the next few weeks of one-day action. It was a quiet Test series for Shivnarine Chanderpaul who didn’t make a half century and struggled against Graeme Swann. However, England would be foolish to underestimate the man who has been the fulcrum of West Indies’ batting line-up for years and can switch gears at the drop of a hat.Team newsEngland haven’t replaced Kevin Pietersen in their squad so are down to 13 players. With an eye on the Twenty20, Eoin Morgan could be given his debut so the selectors can assess his form while Matt Prior will move up to No. 3. The trio of Dimitri Mascarenhas, Tim Bresnan and Ryan Sidebottom are probably fighting for two places.England (probable) 1 Andrew Strauss (capt), 2 Ravi Bopara, 3 Matt Prior (wk), 4 Owais Shah, 5 Paul Collingwood 6 Eoin Morgan, 7 Dimitri Mascarenhas, 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 Tim Bresnan, 11 James AndersonWest Indies didn’t give many clues as to the way their team selection might have gone before the Headingley washout, but allrounders are likely to place a key role in the middle order. Runako Morton, a late replacement to the squad, and pace bowler Ravi Rampaul are also in the shake-up.West Indies (probable) 1 Chris Gayle (capt), 2 Lendl Simmons, 3 Ramnaresh Sarwan, 4 Shivnarine Chanderpaul, 5 Kieron Pollard, 6 Dwayne Bravo, 7 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 8 Darren Sammy, 9 Jerome Taylor, 10 Sulieman Benn, 10 Fidel EdwardsPitch and conditionsThe forecast is set fair with temperatures set to raise so there shouldn’t be any concerns on that front. Previous ODIs at Bristol have produced pitches with pace and bounce, as opposed to the slow surfaces that often greet domestic cricket.Stats and TriviaThere have been 11 previous ODIs on this ground and England have lost their last two matches here, against New Zealand in 2008 and India in 2007.West Indies have played two ODIs at Bristol, losing to Pakistan by 27 runs during the 1999 World Cup and also being beaten by Zimbabwe in 2000.Quotes”We gained some momentum in one-day cricket in the West Indies. We were a little bit Jekyll and Hyde, up and down, but we came through and won the series.”
