Yannick Bolasie has joined Sporting Lisbon on a temporary basis until the end of the season in what is his third loan spell since joining Everton.

The winger arrived at Goodison Park in 2016 but suffered a ruptured ACL injury which ruled him out for a year, and in his 32 games for the club he has failed to reach the same heights as he did with Crystal Palace in terms of goals and assists.

As a result, many Everton fans are happy to see him leave and don’t envision a future for him at the club, particularly with Alex Iwobi signing in the summer and beginning well, with two goals in two starts.

The 30-year-old will also be pleased at finalising a move, having taken to social media to suggest people were “playing with” his career, and he will know that the year abroad gives him a chance to play regularly and earn a contract, with his deal with the Toffees expiring next summer.

وأكمل: “أتمنى أن نرى مباراة قوية تظهر قوة الفريقين، ولن أقلق بشأن الأهلي لأن لدي ثقة كبيرة في اللاعبين وهم معتادون على هذه المواقف، ولاعبين وقادرون على التعامل مع الضغوط”.

وواصل: “اللاعبون يشعرون بالمسئولية، ويعلمون أن جمهور الأهلي لن يقبل سوى بالفوز، والتعادل مع فيتا كلوب هو سبب انتقاد الجماهير، والأحمر قادر على المرور من هذه الأزمة وحسم التأهل والصعود”.

وعن التغيير الكثير في مركز وسط الملعب الدفاعي: “عندما كان مانويل جوزيه مديرًا فنيًا للأهلي كان يغيرني أنا وحسام عاشور أو محمد شوقي أو أنيس بوجلبان، ولكن التغيير كان محدودًا، وكان هناك ثبات قليلًا والتغييرات كانت تحدث في المباراة”.

وأكمل: “بيتسو موسيماني المدير الفني الحالي للأهلي هو وحده من يعلم حالة اللاعبين من الناحية البدنية والفنية ومتعايش معهم وله فكره الخاص، ولكن يجب أن يكون هناك ثبات في ثنائي وسط الملعب الدفاعي، والتغيير في أضيق الحدود حسب مجريات المباراة”.

وعن مركز المهاجم، قال: “الأهلي لديه وفرة كبيرة في الهجوم مثل بواليا ومروان محسن ومحمد شريف وجونيور أجاي وجميعم لاعبين كبار وهدافين”.

وزاد: “وبالنسبة للمباراة الماضية أمام فيتا كلوب أري أن والتر بواليا يواجه سوء توفيق بطريقة غريبة، فقد أهدار فرصتين (لو طفل صغير عمره 5 سنوات) كان سيسجلهما، ولكن هناك أوقات يأتي على المهاجم فترة من سوء التوفيق”.

وأوضح: “لا أعلم ما سبب ذلك، فـ بواليا يذكرني بفلافيو عندما انضم للأهلي، فقد ظل عام كامل لم يسجل أهداف، ولكن عندما أحرز أول أهدافه الأمور فتحت أمامه، لابد أن يركز بواليا أكثر من ذلك ويستغل أنه متواجد في أفضل نادي بإفريقيا، وما زال اللاعب يعاني رهبة الانضمام للقلعة الحمراء”.

وأكد: “بواليا محظوظ أن الأهلي يلعب بدون جمهور، ولابد أن يركز لأن الأحمر يصبر مرة أو إثنين وليس أكثر لأن هناك ضغوط دائمًا”.

وعن مروان محسن: “هداف كبير وطبيعي مثلما قلت إنه يأتي على المهاجم فترة ولا يوفق خلالها، وهذا كان يحدث مع عماد متعب وكان نجم النجوم، وصادفه سوء توفيق في الفترة الماضية، ومروان مميز ويجتهد ويركز في الملعب فقط ولا يهتم بالرد على الجماهير وهذا أمر يُحسب له”.

وأختتم: “أتمنى أن يعود مروان محسن مثلما كان، وأقول له إن الجماهير تعلم أنك جيد ومميز وهداف كبير والجماهير تنتقدك لأنهم يعلموا أنك مميز”.

And the boss has revealed why Jack has been sent home, per The Scottish Sun: “Ryan has gone back to Rangers. He had a little bit of swelling on his knee on Friday and was prepared to sit on the bench.

“But on Saturday there was more swelling and Rangers decided to go safety first.”

Blow for Gerrard

Rangers fans better be praying to whatever entity they believe in right now that this injury isn’t serious.

The Gers have plenty of midfield options, with the likes of Andy King, Glen Kamara, Joe Aribo, Scott Arfield and Steve Davies all fighting for a spot in Steven Gerrard’s side, but Jack might just be the best of the bunch.

Fans have constantly praised the 27 year-old for his performances in recent times, and he is clearly one of Gerrard’s most trusted lieutenants – he played the third-most minutes of any outfield player in the squad last term, and the most for a midfielder.

And after grabbing four goals and five assists in a whopping 46 showings last term, he has already featured 11 times this campaign, scoring once.

Aforementioned, central midfield is perhaps the position Gerrard has the most depth in, but if the swelling goes down and reveals a more serious issue for Jack, there’s no question it will be a big blow for the gaffer.

وأضاف: “فاران لاعبي كبير، وعندما يأتي شخص مثله إلى آنفيلد، كان في ريال مدريد، وفعل كل ذلك، سيكون جيدًا لهم بكل تأكيد”.

West Ham United extended their unbeaten Premier League run to four matches following their 0-0 draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Monday night, and it was certainly an eventful evening for Irons left-back Arthur Masuaku.

The Frenchman saw red in the 67th minute in what appeared to be a harsh call by referee Mike Dean, but his teammates held on for a valuable point.

While the red card may have been debateable, it came following what was ultimately a poor showing from the 25-year-old.

The image above shows him being beaten easily by Villa winger Jota, as he struggled from a defensive point of view during the first half especially.

Masuaku’s first yellow card arrived in the 23rd minute of the match as his challenge stopped Villa full-back Frederic Guilbert breaking forward, meaning that he would be walking something of a tight-rope for the rest of the encounter when it came to tackling.

The Frenchman’s reaction says it all.

While it was naive, having hardly appeared to touch Ahmed Elmohamady, Masuaku’s confused look to Dean having been shown the red card is hardly surprising.

Of course, when a referee has shown a yellow card rather than a red one it can’t be subject to a VAR review, otherwise the full-back may well have stayed on the pitch for the remainder of the match.

Shortly after Manchester United fell to a shock Premier League defeat to West Ham on Saturday, reports were coming out with a bit of promising news for Red Devils fans – well, off the pitch at least.

Safe standing at football grounds in English football has understandably been a major issue and concern, but there have been suggestions in recent months and years that the stance on it is beginning to soften.

Now, The Daily Mail claim United have “launched a consultation into bringing safe standing to Old Trafford”, and they are “carrying out a detailed and comprehensive study on the feasibility of implementing rail seats at the Theatre of Dreams”.

After hearing the news, United fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts about the update, and it’s safe to say many appeared to have a cynical reaction towards it.

Supporters of the Manchester side wondered whether the club would consider “implementing a style of play first” before moving on to other matters.

Some fans even took the opportunity to mock Marcus Rashford’s abilities as a striker, with one supporter in particular suggesting a feature should be built in row Z so people would be safe from the England international’s wayward free-kicks.

وأضاف: “صعوبة مباراة الأهلي وفيتا كلوب تكمن في أرضية الملعب والأجواء الحارة والرطوبة العالية، ولكن ليس المهم الأداء على قدر أهمية النتيجة ويجب على لاعبي الفريق أن يظهروا شخصية البطل”.

وواصل: “ليس بالضرورة أن يستمر لاعبو الأهلي في الضغط المتواصل على فيتا كلوب، الأهم هو عندما تفقد الكرة تنقض على الخصم بشراسة، وعند الهجوم تكن هناك كثافة عددية”.

Jack Wilshere has had a completely stop-start West Ham United career to date, but he may now just have the perfect opportunity to repay the faith both the club and manager Manuel Pellegrini have shown in him over the next few weeks.

Football London reported at the weekend that having missed the clash against Manchester United through injury, Manuel Lanzini will be out for up to a month with bone bruising on his foot.

The Argentina international had started all of the east London outfit’s five Premier League matches prior to that, and he was joined by Wilshere in the starting XI in the opening two of those against Manchester City and Brighton.

However, the former Arsenal man then missed out on the squad altogether for the following encounters with Watford and Norwich City, with Pellegrini suggesting he had been rested for the former – he played 82 minutes in the cup tie against Newport County just a few days later.

The 27-year-old, who made his return to the pitch in the top flight as a substitute against Manchester United on Sunday, may well be in contention to start the Carabao Cup clash with Oxford United on Wednesday, and he needs to perform well.

As things stand, it looks as though he will be battling summer addition Pablo Fornals for a spot in the starting XI with Mark Noble and Declan Rice appearing to once again be favoured picks for their Chilean manager.

There is no doubt given his injury issues in the past that the Irons took a punt on bringing Wilshere to the London Stadium, even though Pellegrini and director of football Mario Husillos had quickly identified him as a target in 2018.

Per West Ham’s official website, the latter said on completing the signature: “Manuel and I identified him as a target as soon as we joined the club and we are delighted to have succeeded in securing Jack’s signature above a number of other teams.

“On the biggest stage, he has shown that he has game-changing abilities, as well as having the creativity and intelligence to make a real difference to our squad.”

The fact he only played eight Premier League games last term due to injury means we haven’t really seen that quality yet, with one goal and one assist all he has to show for his total of 12 outings in all competitions.

The midfielder, who earns £100,000-a-week according to Spotrac, now has the chance to step up and prove that he can have a big season at West Ham and be game-changing, and he must not waste it.

وتابع مورينيو: “ذهبت إلى غرفة تبديل الملابس في دينامو لأشيد باللاعبين، أشعر بالأسف لأن فريقًا واحدًا ليس فريقي فاز بالمباراة بالسلوك وبالمرونة، كرة القدم لا تتعلق فقط باللاعبين الذين يتمتعون بجودة أعلى من الآخرين، أساسيات كرة القدم هي السلوك وقد تغلبوا علينا في ذلك”.

وأكد: “أخبرتهم بمخاطر السلوك السيئ، أخبرتهم في الشوط الأول بمخاطر اللعب بالطريقة التي نلعب بها، وقد حدث ذلك، لقد أدركوا فقط أن المباراة كانت في خطر عندما سجل الخصم الهدف الثاني وذهبت للأشواط الإضافية”.

وشدد مورينيو: “قبل المباراة طلبت من اللاعبين اللعب لتحقيق الفوز أن يهيمنوا، وألا يعتقدوا أن الخسارة 1-0 أو 2-1 أمر جيد، ألا يذهبوا في هذا الاتجاه، حتى نتيجة 0-0 قلت لا تثقوا بها، لذلك لم يتم هزيمتنا بمفاجأة”.

وأردف البرتغالي: “فريقي لم يقدم أساسيات كرة القدم، لاحترام وظائفنا وتقديم كل شيء لا يسعني إلا أن أعتذر لمشجعي توتنهام”.

وبسؤاله هل يقلقه أن اللاعبين لا يستمعون ويستجيبون لما يريد، أجاب: “بالطبع هذا يهمني، لقد عملنا بجد وحاولنا توفير أفضل الظروف للاعبين لأداء”

وواصل: “موقفي كمدرب رئيسي هو الموقف الذي يجعلني غير مرتاح للوقوف أمام الكاميرات والتعمق في التحليل آمل أن تتمكن من فهم ذلك”.

وأكمل مورينيو: “أعتقد أنه يجب علينا جميعًا أن نكون متواضعين بما يكفي لقبول أي انتقادات يمكن أن توجهها لعملنا، ليس لي أن أستمر في ذلك”.

وأتم مورينيو بشأن هاتريك أورسيتش لاعب دينامو زغرب: “الأهداف التي سجلها أوريسيتش شاهدتها جميعًا، وشاهدها جميع اللاعبين، لا أعرف ماذا أقول كل ما يمكنني قوله هو أنني شاهدت أهدافه من قبل، و أعددت فريقي للعب ضد أوريسيتش، لقد أعطيتهم كل المعلومات عنه، تهانينا له”.
