O goleiro Vladimir iniciará a fase de fortalecimento muscular após passar por uma cirurgia no dedo mínimo do pé direito. A ideia é que o camisa 1 do Santos volte aos treinamentos a partir de dezembro.

Vladimir pertence ao Peixe desde 2009, mas na temporada passada o atleta foi emprestado ao Avaí, retornando ao Alvinegro no início deste ano, quando assumiu a titularidade após o então dono da meta, Éverson, atualmente no Atlético-MG, acionou judicialmente o Peixe, por conta de pendências financeiras. Contudo, com a lesão perdeu a vaga para o então terceiro goleiro, João Paulo.

Everton are keen to strike a deal for a teenage central midfielder, but there are also two other clubs who are hoping to bring him to the Premier League.

Who are Everton's youngest players?

The Toffees currently have four squad members who are aged 21 or under, starting with Youssef Chermiti at 19, followed by Lewis Dobbin and Tyler Onyango who are both 20, alongside Jarrad Branthwaite who is 21.

The Merseyside outfit had to rely on their most experienced players towards the end of last season when Sean Dyche needed everyone to step up to survive relegation, so the up-and-coming talents haven’t had a real chance to prove what they are capable of.

The Goodison Park outfit, however, are looking to change that and have set their sights on FC Schalke’s Assan Ouedraogo, who having worked his way up through their academy, has made nine senior appearances for the first-team (Transfermarkt – Ouedraogo statistics).

Germany’s youth international, who is just 17 years old, still has four years remaining on his deal (FC Schalke contracts), but having impressed since first bursting onto the professional scene, he’s caught the eye of three high-profile teams in the top-flight.

Taking to X, Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg shared a transfer update on Assan Ouedraogo and name-checked Everton as one of the midfielder's three potential suitors in England.

He wrote: “Liverpool and especially Jurgen Klopp is monitoring the development of Assan Ouedraogo! The 17 y/o versatile midfielder from @s04 has a release clause in 2024. Clubs from abroad have to pay around €20m [£17m]. Next to #LFC more clubs from [England] are interested: Everton & Brighton!”

According to football talent scout Jacek Kulig, Ouedraogo is an “exciting” player with bags of potential in his back pocket, and having already shown the positive impact he’s capable of making, it would be a massive coup should he decide to put pen to paper at Everton.

Standing at 6 foot 3, Schalke’s young colossus has already posted 31 contributions (17 goals and 14 assists) in 45 appearances across youth and senior levels, and even if the ball doesn’t always hit the back of the net, he’s able to pose a constant threat to the opposition’s defence.

The Mulheim native currently ranks in the 99th percentile for successful take-ons by midfielders so loves to use his physicality and skill to dribble past his marker and create as many chances as possible for both himself and his teammates in the final third, whenever he gets the opportunity to do so (FBRef – Ouedraogo statistics).

Ouedraogo has already had a taste of success having been crowned an U17s champion with both Schalke in the Bundesliga and internationally with Germany, so he would be able to pass on a much-needed winning mentality to the rest of the squad who are in L4.

Big Picture ODIs haven’t been much on the menu for Bangladesh and West Indies off late, as the impending series is only their second assignment in the format in 2018. The hosts’ successful qualification into next year’s World Cup means that their summit climb starts here at home, against a Bangladesh side that is eager to find a footing after the terrible Test series.The visitors have the inspirational Mashrafe Mortaza back in their ranks. It was a touch-and-go thing for him to come to the West Indies after he stayed back with his ill wife for much of the last four weeks. But he will be pleased to find that his squad has extra cover for batting and pace bowling.Apart from the big four – Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah – in their batting line-up, Mashrafe has Anamul Haque, Liton Das, Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain and Nazmul Hossain Shanto to try different combinations. Among them, Liton is likely to have won the openers’ battle against Anamul Haque while Sabbir and Mosaddek have to fight for the lower-order finisher’s role.Mashrafe will lead the pace attack alongside the returning Mustafizur Rahman who has much to prove after he missed the Afghanistan T20s and the West Indies Tests due to injury. Dona do melhor ataque do São Paulo desde a temporada 2006, a atual equipe marcou 80 gols em 43 jogos em 2020. Os garotos da base representam mais de 36% desse número, com 29 gols marcados. As boas fases de Igor Gomes, Gabriel Sara e – sobretudo – Brenner são determinantes a marca positiva.

-O que a gente precisa é saber que as pessoas oscilam mesmo. Todo mundo oscila. Queremos valorizar só quem acerta o tempo todo e ninguém acerta o tempo todo. É assim que perdemos muito jogadores aqui no Brasil. A pressão é cruel. Quando não consegue responder a gente vai jogando muito jogadores em segundo plano. Atualmente, o São Paulo tem cinco jogadores das categorias de base em sua equipe titular (Diego Costa, Luan, Igor Gomes, Gabriel Sara e Brenner) e cada vez mais dá espaços para os garotos. Importante ressaltar que desde que chegou ao clube do Morumbi, Diniz trouxe apenas um jogador – o atacante Luciano, envolvido em uma troca com o Grêmio pelo também atacante Everton.

As things start coming together for Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea, with glimpses of what may come in their 2-2 draw against Arsenal, you can't help but notice that the Blues are still missing a couple of pieces to the puzzle that could unlock their route back among Europe's elite. They've got the manager they wanted. They got their defensive midfielder in the form of Moises Caicedo, and they kept hold of Levi Colwill in their backline. What they failed to arguably find, however, was an out-and-out goalscorer.

For all the money they spent throughout the summer transfer window, Chelsea did not solve their striker problem, leaving them to go again in the January transfer window. And that could lead them to a certain Bundesliga star.

Chelsea's need for a striker is no secret in the Premier League, especially after Nicolas Jackson's early-season form, which has seen him find the back of the net just three times in 10 games. Whilst the eventual return of Christopher Nkunku may help to solve Pochettino's crisis up top, the Blues may well look to the transfer market to put an end to their dilemma once and for all.

The latest Benjamin Sesko transfer news suggests that he's on their shortlist, too. According to reporter Simon Phillips, Chelsea are still scouting the RB Leipzig forward as a back-up option, in case deals for either Victor Osimhen or Ivan Toney fail to come to fruition, be it in January or next summer's transfer window.

Chelsea have, of course, done business with Leipzig before, buying and then selling Timo Werner from and to the Bundesliga side, before also landing Nkunku from them last summer. With a relationship already in place, a deal for Sesko could turn out to be fairly routine if Chelsea meet whatever asking price Leipzig demand.

Sesko has struggled to get into the Leipzig side at times this season, making just two Bundesliga starts in eight games. It's a surprise that he has failed to break into Marco Rose's side, though, given that he has scored twice in just 198 minutes played in the current campaign, which is almost an average of a goal a game. Sesko's stats have been more impressive than Chelsea's Jackson, too, as per FBref.

It comes as little surprise that Sesko has earned plenty of praise over the years, including from journalist Maxi Angelo, who posted on X back in 2022: "Benjamin Šeško has really showcased why top clubs in Europe wants him this summer against Liverpool tonight. Incredible strength and size. Nice technique and smart movements. One goal to his name in the first half too. Very impressive, especially for being 19."

With that said, as Chelsea continue to search for a striker, Sesko could quickly become an ideal option. When given the chance at Leipzig this season, he has had success in front of goal, making the rest of his season all the more interesting.
